Wuling Starlight M Official Images Released: A New Plug-in Hybrid MPV Challenger

Bold and Refined Exterior Design
The Starlight M continues Wuling's latest family design language. The front features a large grille with multiple horizontal chrome elements, creating a more premium and sophisticated appearance.
The headlights share a similar design philosophy with the Starlight L, giving the vehicle a recognizable family identity while combining technology with a more mature and business-oriented look.
From the side, the vehicle adopts clean and straight body lines, complemented by a floating roof, privacy glass and sliding doors. These features give the Starlight M a strong business-MPV appearance while also making it practical for family use.

Spacious Mid-to-Large MPV Dimensions
The Starlight M is expected to measure approximately 5,150 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width and 1,820 mm in height, with some versions measuring 1,800 mm in height. Its 3,000 mm wheelbase provides a spacious cabin, while the expected tire size is 225/55 R18.
With a 2+2+3 seven-seat configuration, the second row is expected to offer two independent seats with generous legroom and improved comfort.
The sliding doors are also particularly practical for families, making it easier for children and elderly passengers to get in and out of the vehicle.

1.5T Plug-in Hybrid Powertrain
In terms of power, the Starlight M is expected to feature a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system paired with a battery pack of approximately 37.9 kWh.
Its expected pure-electric range is around 170 km, which should be sufficient for many daily urban commutes. For longer journeys, the plug-in hybrid system can provide additional flexibility and reduce concerns about charging and range.
For an MPV designed for family trips, business transportation and long-distance travel, this combination of electric driving and hybrid capability could be one of its major advantages.
Expected Price: RMB 150,000–200,000
Wuling's Starlight L is currently priced at approximately RMB 112,800–135,800, while the larger Starlight M is expected to target a higher price range.
Based on its positioning, dimensions and plug-in hybrid technology, the Starlight M is expected to have a mainstream price range of around RMB 150,000–200,000.
If Wuling maintains its traditional value-for-money strategy, the Starlight M could attract families looking to upgrade to a larger MPV while also challenging entry-level joint-venture MPVs.

Safety and Practicality
Safety will also be an important selling point for a large seven-seat MPV.
Based on currently available information, the Starlight M is expected to use a high-strength body structure, with high-strength hot-formed steel used in key areas. Combined with Wuling's EV battery safety technologies, the vehicle is expected to provide a strong safety foundation.
However, the final body structure, battery specifications, safety equipment and official performance data will need to be confirmed by Wuling.
Conclusion
Could the Wuling Starlight M become a new dark horse in the 150,000–200,000 RMB MPV market?
