Chery's 52nd week: 43,000 units sold, mainly gasoline vehicles by Asiautos Auto Parts( Aftermarket Parts Expert)

In the 52nd week of 2024, the total sales volume of the six major brands of Chery Group, namely Chery, Jetour, Fengyun, Xingtu, Zhijie and iCAR, was 43,261 units, including 20,153 units of Chery, 11,294 units of Jetour, 2,804 units of Fengyun, 2,262 units of Xingtu, 4,315 units of Zhijie and 2,433 units of iCAR.

01Brand sales trend analysis

● Chery: Chery brand sold 20,153 units this week, of which Tiggo 8 and Arrizo 8 sold 5,327 and 4,903 units respectively, accounting for more than 50% of the total sales. As the pillar models of the brand, the Tiggo series maintained steady growth, especially Tiggo 8L and Tiggo 9, which meet the market demand for mid-to-high-end SUVs. The sales of new energy models such as Tiggo 9 C-DM and Tiggo 8 PLUS Kunpeng e+ were relatively low.

● Jetour: Jetour brand sold 11,294 units, of which the Jetour X70 series contributed 3,549 units, which is the main growth point of the brand. The new model Traveler achieved a sales performance of 2,231 units, which performed well. Other models such as Shanhai T2 and X90 maintained certain competitiveness in the market segment, but the sales of high-end new energy models such as Shanhai L9 and Shanhai T1 C-DM were relatively weak.

● Fengyun: Fengyun brand sold 2,804 units, of which the new energy pickup Fengyun T9 C-DM accounted for more than 67%, showing its competitiveness in the new energy commercial vehicle market. However, the overall product matrix is ​​relatively simple, and other models such as Fengyun T10 C-DM and T6 C-DM have low sales.

● Xingtu: Xingtu brand sales were 2,262 units, and high-end new energy models Xingjiyuan ET REEV and Xingtu Lingyun contributed 708 and 660 units respectively, with relatively stable performance. Other models such as Xingtu Lanyue and Yaoguang C-DM have relatively low sales.

● Zhijie: Zhijie brand sales were 4,315 units, of which Zhijie R7 pure electric models accounted for 3,559 units, becoming the biggest highlight of the brand. Models such as S7 have relatively low sales.

● iCAR: iCAR sales were 2,433 units, and the main model V23 sales reached 1,708 units.

02TOP5 Model Sales and Performance of Core Models of High-end Brands

● Sales of TOP5 Models

◎ Tiggo 8 (5,327 units) - the mainstay of the compact SUV market.

◎ Arrizo 8 (4,903 units) - the outstanding representative of medium-sized sedans of independent brands.

◎ Zhijie R7 Pure Electric (3,559 units) - the new force in the new energy market.

◎ Jetour X70 (3,549 units) - wins market favor with high cost performance.

◎ Jetour Traveler (2,231 units) - the new model performs well and drives brand growth.

 ● Performance of Core Models of High-end Brands.

◎ Xingtu: Xingjiyuan ET REEV and Xingtu Lingyun achieved sales of 708 and 660 units respectively.

◎ Zhijie: R7 Pure Electric Model has strong sales.

◎ iCAR: V23, which focuses on the urban new energy market, performed well. From the sales structure, Chery Group's traditional fuel models are still the main growth driver, while new energy models are gradually gaining momentum. 

● Chery brand has obvious advantages in the traditional SUV and sedan markets, but the layout of new energy still needs to be accelerated;

● Jetour expands the market through high cost performance and new models, and has great potential in the future; 

● Fengyun brand occupies a specific market with new energy pickups and SUVs;

● Xingtu brand's high-end positioning needs to be further broken through through product strength and brand image;

● Zhijie brand rises rapidly with pure electric models, but needs to enrich the model types;

● iCAR, as an emerging brand, performs well but still has a lot of room for improvement.

Chery Group needs to accelerate the layout of new energy, optimize product structure, and enhance brand premium ability while consolidating the market share of traditional fuel vehicles in order to occupy a more advantageous position in the increasingly competitive market.
