Just after New Year’s Day 2026, BYD officially ushered in the era of “large-battery plug-in hybrids.”
Four of BYD’s best-selling DM-i sedan models have now been upgraded with large-capacity batteries, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 210 km and a combined driving range exceeding 2,110 km, setting new benchmarks in the mainstream plug-in hybrid market.

Among them, the 2026 Qin PLUS DM-i and 2026 SEAL 05 DM-i—both A-segment plug-in hybrid sedans—each introduce two new large-battery variants, priced from RMB 89,800 to RMB 99,800, redefining the value ceiling of the RMB 80,000 hybrid segment.

Meanwhile, mid-size plug-in hybrid sedans 2026 Qin L DM-i and SEAL 06 DM-i Super Edition also add two large-battery versions, with official prices ranging from RMB 116,800 to RMB 126,800.
