BYD Group’s 51st week, 93,300! by Asiautos Auto Parts(China Car Aftermarket Parts Expert)

Weekly new energy vehicle sales analysis: BYD, Fangchengbao, and Denza performed well, and competition in the market segments intensified.

In the latest statistics from December 16 to December 22: 

◎ BYD continued to maintain its leading position with a weekly sales volume of 87,730 vehicles. Although it decreased by 9,667 vehicles from the previous week, it still showed strong market dominance;

◎ Fangchengbao sales reached 2,770 vehicles, setting a weekly record, demonstrating its potential to gradually take root in the high-end new energy market;

◎ Denza followed closely with 2,800 vehicles, consolidating its position in the high-end market. Overall, despite the increasingly fierce competition in the new energy vehicle market, the leading brands still showed strong growth momentum in the market segments.

 The following are one-sentence comments on each brand:

● BYD: Although sales fell slightly this week, it still showed its absolute dominance in the new energy market.

● Fangchengbao: Sustained growth shows potential, and product positioning and brand awareness are further improved.

● Denza: Strong performance in stable growth, and the popularity of high-end models among users has increased significantly.

BYD sales and the rise of segmented brands

Against the backdrop of the continued expansion of the new energy vehicle market, the market strategies and product layouts of major brands are profoundly affecting their weekly sales performance. 

From the overall data, BYD is still the core driving force of the market, and its Fangchengbao and Denza have further strengthened BYD's layout in the high-end market.

● BYD: Stable king in sales fluctuations

This week, BYD ranked first with a weekly sales volume of 87,730 vehicles, down from last week. The sales characteristics are analyzed as follows:

◎ Multi-line product layout covers the entire market demand: BYD covers the Ocean series, Dynasty series and high-end brand Denza, from A-class cars to high-end MPVs, fully meeting the needs of different consumers.

◎ Supply and demand fluctuations lead to a short-term decline in sales: After the sales surged in early December, the decline in sales this week may be due to the adjustment of the delivery rhythm and the end-of-year license plate restriction policy in some regions.

 BYD's penetration rate in the new energy market is still leading, and it is expected to usher in a new round of delivery peaks at the end of the year.

● Fangcheng Leopard: Steady progress in high-end path

Fangcheng Leopard sold 2,770 units this week, up nearly 14% month-on-month. Judging from the sales curve, Fangcheng Leopard has maintained growth for 5 consecutive weeks since November, proving that its product positioning has gradually been recognized by the market.

◎ Flagship models drive sales growth: Models represented by Leopard 5 and Leopard 8 have gradually gained a foothold in the luxury new energy SUV market segment, and their advantages of combining performance and intelligence have attracted core consumer groups.

● Tengzhong: Steady transition from high-end positioning to market recognition

Tengzhong achieved a slight rebound with a weekly sales volume of 2,800 units. Tengzhong is strengthening its position through the following two points. Tengzhong will see the situation after the subsequent improvement of intelligent driving.
