Tank Series

In April 2021, the Tank series under Great Wall Motors' WEY brand officially became independent and became the fifth sub-brand of Great Wall Motors. The Tank brand is a global high-end off-road brand launched by Great Wall Motors in response to the new SUV trend. It is also an important achievement of Great Wall Motors' category innovation and is committed to providing users with a travel experience that exceeds expectations.

TANK 300

• Introduction: Launched in 2020, initially under the WEY premium brand, and later rebranded to TANK 300.
• Design: Mid-size SUV, retro-inspired boxy design.
• Features: 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, 8-speed automatic transmission, advanced off-road capabilities with differential locks and high ground clearance.
• Market: Successfully expanded from China to international markets including Australia and the Middle East.

• Versions:    City Edition, Off-Road Edition, Ranger, Wind Forest Iron Cavalry Edition, Yunliang and Cyberpunk. Each version, except for the Cybertank, is available in multiple trim levels.

The Cybertank Edition was previewed as the WEY Tank 300 Cybertank Concept in April 2021. It is equipped with wide body kit, body coloured flared wheel arches, a roof solar panel, Y-shaped LED daytime running lights, a hood scoop, and a square-shaped spare wheel cover on the tailgate. It enters production in a limited quantity, with an almost identical appearance to the concept model. Only 3,000 units were produced.

TANK 400

• Introduction and Features: Designed as a powerful plug-in hybrid SUV, the TANK 400 performs well on varied terrains including mud, gravel, and steep inclines.
• Capabilities: Known for its strong off-road performance and hybrid drivetrain.

TANK 500

• Introduction: Launched as the second model under the TANK brand, positioning itself as a mid-size luxury SUV.
• Design: Features a more upscale interior and luxury-focused design compared to the TANK 300.
• Features: Larger engine options including a 3.0-liter V6, advanced driver-assistance systems, and premium materials.

TANK 700

• Introduction: Scheduled for a 2024 release.
• Performance: Powerful outputs of 385 kW and 800 Nm torque, transmitted through a 9-speed automatic transmission. Designed to handle challenging terrains with robust off-road capabilities.

TANK 800

• Introduction and Future Plans: Expected to be unveiled by the end of 2024, anticipated as the flagship SUV for the TANK series.
• Specifications: Likely to feature a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine with plug-in hybrid capabilities, focusing on luxury and advanced technology.

The GWM TANK series encompasses a range of SUVs that combine rugged off-road capabilities with modern design and technology.
