BYD's three main overseas models sold 28,957 units in 15 countries in the first half of the year, including 15,428 units of Dolphin, 7,055 units of Atto 3 and 6,474 units of Seal.
BYD's overall sales in the first half of the year tended to be stable, with Q1 and Q2 both close to 29,000 units. In terms of regions, Dolphin is mainly sold in Brazil, while ATTO3(Yuan Plus) and Seal are mainly sold in Thailand and Australia. In Q2, Dolphin fell sharply in Thailand, exceeding 50%, and Seal also fell more than 80% compared with Q1.
Thailand and Brazil are the countries where BYD focuses on layout. These two countries are also the key expansion targets of other domestic brands. With more players betting, will the second half of the year be another scene?
MG
The total sales of MG's three main overseas models in 12 countries in the first half of the year were 21,660 units, including MG 4: 17,906 units, MG ZS EV: 3,069 units, and MG 5: 685 units.
Compared with the first quarter, the three models increased by 37.1% in the second quarter, mainly due to large-scale deliveries in Germany and Norway. MG 4 delivered more than 7,000 units in Germany in the second quarter, an increase of nearly 80% compared with the first quarter.
In the first half of the year, a batch of MG was delivered before the EU's temporary anti-subsidy tariffs came into effect. MG has delivered a good answer. Whether it can continue in the second half of the year depends on whether SAIC can break through the difficulties of the EU tariff barriers. The final result will not be determined until November.
