Recently, MAXUS's "smart and efficient pure electric logistics vehicle" Dana V1 (eDELIVER 5 overseas), "smart pure electric light commercial vehicle" Xintu EV70 (eDELIVER 7 overseas), and Xintu EV90 (eDELIVER 9 overseas) won three gold medals in the European Euro NCAP commercial light commercial vehicle rating.
Among them, Dana V1 won the 2024 Platinum Safety Light Commercial Vehicle with a safety assistance performance score of 82%; Xintu EV70 won the 2024 Gold Safety Light Commercial Vehicle with a safety assistance performance score of 77%; Xintu EV90 won the 2024 Gold Safety Light Commercial Vehicle with a safety assistance performance score of 74%; it is worth noting that the driver status monitoring score is 100%.
The European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) has one of the highest commercial vehicle crash requirements in the world. For a long time, even European commercial vehicle manufacturers have mostly only been able to stay at the bronze level, or even failed to participate in the rating. The platinum level, as the pinnacle of the rating, demonstrates its outstanding position and leading technology in the industry.
Since 2021, Euro NCAP has provided commercial vehicle safety ratings to provide fleet managers with the latest information and create a safer environment for commercial vehicle drivers. These independent ratings for light commercial vans specifically assess the availability and performance of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Take the Dana V1 as an example. The platinum rating exceeds the requirements of the EU General Safety Regulation (GSR2) that will take effect on July 1, 2024. Its AEB system scored a high score of 27.7 points in the vehicle-to-vehicle (Car-to-Car) test, ranking among the best in its class. At the same time, its recognition and response capabilities for pedestrians and bicycles were also highly praised, with scores of 7.3 points in the pedestrian AEB test and 9.3 points in the bicycle AEB test, demonstrating its excellent safety performance in complex urban traffic environments.
The platinum safety rating means that SAIC MAXUS is on par with a number of veteran German brands. The 82% safety assistance performance score ranks among the best in its class. This is due to its advanced safety technologies - from automatic emergency braking (AEB) to lane keeping assist, from blind spot monitoring to occupant status monitoring, each of which has been carefully designed to ensure that drivers are provided with all-round safety protection under various complex road conditions.
As "China's No. 1 light passenger car brand", SAIC MAXUS has continuously enriched its wide-body light passenger car product system, with sales of nearly 90,000 units so far this year. Among them, new energy light passenger cars have achieved a penetration rate of over 90% in pioneer markets such as the UK and Italy. At the same time, EV30 and EV90 have ranked first in sales and market share in Norway, Spain, Portugal, V90 in Australia, and EV30 in Chile.
As of now, SAIC Maxus’s total overseas sales have reached nearly 360,000 vehicles, with its main sales markets being Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Chile and other countries. It continues to maintain “high premium” and “high quality and high price” in overseas markets.
