Leapmotor D19 Interior Revealed: A True Flagship SUV Ready to Redefine the Brand

Layered Wraparound Cabin with Premium Design Language
According to official images, the Leapmotor D19 adopts a dual-layer wraparound cockpit design, featuring elegant curves formed by what the brand calls “Super-Elliptical Digital Surfaces.” This design approach creates a refined and immersive cabin atmosphere.
The overall layout continues Leapmotor’s family design language with a clean and minimalist look, while significantly upgrading materials and craftsmanship to match its flagship positioning. The interior features:
-
A standalone digital instrument cluster
-
A central infotainment display
-
A large head-up display (HUD)
In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a wide center armrest, wireless charging pad, and a hollowed lower storage area for enhanced practicality. The combination of wood-grain trim and metallic chrome accents adds warmth and sophistication to the cabin.

New Steering Wheel and Column-Mounted Shifter
The D19 introduces a brand-new steering wheel design with a subtle flat-bottom shape, making it easier to find the correct driving position. The horizontal spokes integrate scroll wheels and physical buttons, and steering wheel heating is also included.
Behind the wheel, the D19 adopts a column-mounted electronic gear selector, freeing up center console space and reinforcing its premium, modern character.

Bold Exterior Design with Full-Size SUV Proportions
On the exterior, the Leapmotor D19 features a full-width LED daytime running light, combined with DLP projection headlights. A split-headlamp layout is used, along with ADB intelligent adaptive high-beam headlights.
The front bumper adopts a closed design, with a wide lower air intake for cooling. A silver trim strip across the lower lip enhances the vehicle’s visual width.
From the side, the D19 shows similarities to the Li Auto L9, with comparable proportions:
-
Wheelbase estimated at over 3,100 mm
-
Length exceeding 5,200 mm
-
Width close to 2,000 mm
-
Height around 1,800 mm
A key difference lies in the more upright and slimmer D-pillar, which reduces rear roof slope to maximize cabin space and increase third-row side window size.

Advanced Intelligent Architecture with LiDAR Support
In terms of intelligence, the Leapmotor D19 is fully equipped for next-generation smart driving. A roof-mounted LiDAR is integrated, while side cameras are installed on the front fenders.
The vehicle will feature the LEAP 4.0 central domain control architecture, utilizing an integrated cockpit-and-driving chip solution. Powered by dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chips, the system delivers a combined computing power of 1,280 TOPS, enabling:
-
VLA-assisted driving
-
On-device large-model intelligent cockpit functions
This places the D19 among the top-tier smart EVs in its class.

First-Ever Triple-Motor Setup for Leapmotor
Powertrain options include both range-extended and fully electric versions. Notably, the D19 marks Leapmotor’s first use of a triple-motor all-wheel-drive configuration, with two independent motors on the rear axle—unlocking new driving modes, improved stability, and enhanced safety.
