01: MG

Facing the backdrop of a 38.1% tariff imposed by Europe, MG’s total sales in 23 countries/regions from January to August reached 61,198 units.

MG 4 and MG ZS are widely praised in overseas markets and are the main sales force of the MG brand. Germany’s electric vehicle development is very strong. In this statistics, it surpassed the UK and became the country with the highest sales of MG.

The EU’s original plan to impose tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles on September 25 was postponed. Many foreign media called for an end to the trade war, partly because they found that the EU’s move to impose high tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles may have limited effect.

So, from the data, tariffs will definitely affect MG’s sales in overseas markets in the short term, but the general trend of new energy vehicles going overseas is unstoppable.

02: Great Wall Ora

In the first eight months, Ora sold more than 10,000 units overseas according to incomplete statistics.

Brazil is the market with the highest sales of Ora. From January to August this year, Ora sold a total of 4,467 units in Brazil. ORA insists on providing users with a good driving experience overseas.

In order to better suit the driving habits and road conditions of Brazilian users, ORA conducted local optimization and adjustment from the inside out before entering the Brazilian market. Therefore, the authoritative Brazilian car evaluation media rated the ORA Good Cat as the "most worthwhile model to buy".

In the Thai market, ORA sold a total of 2,045 vehicles. Although the market share is not high, the first locally produced ORA Good Cat rolled off the assembly line at the Rayong factory in Thailand at the beginning of this year, becoming Thailand's first localized mass-produced pure electric model.

In the European market, the ORA Good Cat is more to the taste of Germans, and its sales in the German market are the highest in Europe.

03: Xiaopeng

Xiaopeng is a relatively successful brand in the new electric car market. As of August this year, a total of 4,986 vehicles have been sold, which is more than four times higher than last year. It is possible to set new highs in the future.

Xiaopeng's sales in the European market have risen against the trend, with sales in August up 27% month-on-month, which is a very good signal.

At present, Xiaopeng has launched five models in Europe, namely G6, P7, P7i, G9 and G3i. The best-selling one is G9, but G6 and P7 have just been launched and have great potential in the future.

This year is a key year for Xiaopeng to go overseas, and it is the "first year of Xiaopeng's internationalization V2.0".

In the next few months, Xiaopeng will deploy in multiple countries/regions, especially the right-hand drive version of G6 launched in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. It is worth looking forward to how Xiaopeng performs in these markets.

In the first eight months, JAC Motors sold 1,507 vehicles in 9 countries overseas.
