GAC M8 Introduction

The GAC M8, also known as the Trumpchi M8 (传祺M8) in the Chinese market, is a premium large-size MPV developed by GAC Motor. It is positioned as a luxury MPV for both business transportation and family travel, combining spaciousness, comfort, intelligent technology and powerful performance.

The current-generation GAC M8 features a bold and premium exterior design, with a large front grille, distinctive LED headlights, power sliding doors and a spacious three-row cabin. It measures approximately 5,212 mm in length, 1,893 mm in width and 1,823 mm in height, with a 3,070 mm wheelbase, providing generous interior space for passengers.

Inside, the GAC M8 focuses strongly on passenger comfort. The second-row seats can feature ventilation, heating and massage functions, while the sliding range of the second-row seats can reach 480 mm. The vehicle also offers flexible third-row seating and power sliding doors, making it suitable for executive transportation, airport transfers, hotels and large families.

For power, gasoline versions are equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, producing up to 185 kW and 400 N·m of torque. Depending on the market and configuration, the M8 is also available with advanced plug-in hybrid technology. The M8 PHEV launched in the Philippines, for example, uses a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system with a 2-speed DHT, offering a 106 km WLTC pure-electric range and a combined range of up to 1,032 km.

The GAC M8 also incorporates modern intelligent features, including a large central display, Qualcomm 8155 automotive computing platform on higher trims, intelligent driving assistance and advanced safety equipment. Some versions feature L2-level driving assistance, electromagnetic suspension and multiple premium comfort functions.

For overseas markets, the model is marketed under different names. The Chinese-market Trumpchi M8 is commonly marketed internationally as the GAC M8 or GAC GN8, depending on the market and model year. GAC's 2026 global materials specifically refer to the overseas-market M8 PHEV as the GN8.

The Middle East is an especially important overseas region for GAC. The company currently continues to strengthen its presence in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon, supported by local sales and after-sales networks.
