On July 22, road test spy photos of the Great Wall Tank 800 were exposed. Great Wall Motors CGO (Chief Growth Officer) Li Ruifeng had previously revealed that the new car will be released as early as the end of this year.
The Tank 800 continues the family-style "square box" overall shape, with a straight waterfall-style front grille and rectangular headlights on both sides. The official once called it a Chinese-style luxurious "vertical and horizontal" front face design, and its appearance was inspired by the "Forbidden City".
In addition, the interior layout of the car adopts a symmetrical design, equipped with a rectangular central control screen and physical buttons, but the cockpit was not exposed in this spy photos.
In terms of power, the Tank 800 prototype is equipped with a 3.0T+9HAT+P2 powertrain, with a total system power of 380kW and a peak torque of 750N・m. The car is equipped with a V-type 6-cylinder engine, providing a maximum power of 260kW and a maximum torque of 500N・m. The 9HAT transmission equipped in the car is the first 9-speed hydraulic automatic transmission in China, covering conventional/P2 forms, with a torque capacity of 750N・m.
Since it has been three years since the Tank 800 prototype was exhibited, it is expected that the appearance and parameters of the mass-produced version will undergo some changes.
