This week, official images of the Trumpchi E8 PHEV were released. Positioned as a more advanced evolution of the current E8, this new model clearly aims higher—not just to be practical, but to be smarter, more efficient, and more refined. Its boldest move? Bringing LiDAR into the 200,000 RMB family MPV segment.

Strong Hybrid System: Efficiency Meets Performance

At the core of the new E8 PHEV is GAC’s latest “Xingyuan” plug-in hybrid system:

Pure electric range: up to 205 km
Fuel consumption (low battery): just 3.98L/100km
