2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT Officially Revealed: More Rugged Design and Advanced Technology
Rugged XRT Exterior Design
The 2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT retains the same basic body dimensions as the standard Tucson, measuring 4,700 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, 1,685 mm in height, with a 2,785 mm wheelbase.
At the front, the Tucson XRT features a distinctive rectangular grille design combined with a large metallic-look skid plate. Compared with the standard Tucson, the XRT places greater emphasis on off-road styling and protection.
The wheel arches and lower sections of the body are covered with black protective materials. Interestingly, the surfaces feature a forged-carbon-fiber-style texture, giving the SUV a more premium and technical appearance rather than the conventional look of ordinary black plastic cladding.
The XRT also receives exclusive wheels featuring an XRT logo, paired with tires measuring 235 mm in width and 18 inches in diameter.
At the rear, Hyundai has designed a dedicated XRT bumper and lower skid plate. Additional XRT badges and black exterior details further emphasize the vehicle's rugged character.
Technology-Focused Interior
Inside, the 2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT combines a modern technological atmosphere with exclusive XRT styling elements.
The seats feature dedicated XRT logos, while the interior trim incorporates numerous dark metallic-style decorative elements. These details help create a sportier and more adventure-oriented cabin.
The driver's instrument display focuses on essential vehicle information, while the central infotainment screen measures approximately 17 inches and provides access to a wide range of vehicle settings and functions.
Despite the large touchscreen, Hyundai has retained physical controls for important functions such as air conditioning and volume adjustment. This makes frequently used functions easier to operate while driving.
Another practical feature is the integrated LED lighting inside the tailgate, which provides additional illumination when loading or unloading luggage at night.
Hybrid and Gasoline Powertrains
The powertrain options of the 2027 Tucson XRT are broadly similar to those of the standard Tucson.
The new Tucson lineup includes a 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid, a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline version, and a plug-in hybrid version that is expected to be introduced later.
The 1.6-liter hybrid combines a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a dual-motor hybrid system. It produces a combined output of approximately 180 kW (242 hp) and 380 Nm of torque, with a claimed 0–100 km/h acceleration time of around 8.5 seconds.
The 1.6-liter gasoline version produces approximately 130 kW (177 hp) and 217 Nm of peak torque, with a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of approximately 9.5 seconds.
This combination gives the Tucson XRT a balance between everyday practicality, fuel efficiency and the rugged appearance expected from an XRT model.
