New Arrival | 2026 BYD Qin L DM-i Long-Range Version Reaches Dealers
New Wheels + DiLink 6.0 + YunNian-C, 210 km Electric Range, Launch Expected on January 8
Recently, real-world images of the Qin L DM-i Long-Range Version surfaced online, offering an early look at the new model. While the overall design remains largely unchanged, the vehicle receives notable upgrades in wheels, technology, comfort features, and—most importantly—electric driving range, which has been extended to 210 km. The official launch is expected on January 8.

Exterior: Familiar Design with Sportier Details
From the dealer photos, the 2026 Qin L DM-i Long-Range Version continues the current model’s design language. The aggressive, forward-leaning front end features BYD’s signature “Dragon Beard Chasing the Sun” LED headlights, connected by a blacked-out trim strip that enhances visual width and impact.
The large “dragon-mouth” front grille is filled with dot-matrix chrome elements, adding depth and sophistication. Combined with C-shaped air intakes on both sides and a prominent chrome front splitter, the front fascia delivers a strong sporty presence.
Side and Rear: New Wheels, Enhanced Visual Quality
The side profile retains its fastback-style roofline, while chrome window trim has been added for a more refined appearance. A key update is the adoption of new 17-inch dual-tone, double five-spoke alloy wheels, which pair especially well with the “Weiyang Grey” exterior color, giving the car a more premium look.
At the rear, a subtle ducktail spoiler continues to emphasize sportiness, while the rear bumper features an exaggerated black diffuser design. The signature “Flowing Light Rui Knot” full-width LED taillights remain, now complemented by an intelligent driving blue indicator light. This signals the presence of BYD’s God’s Eye C (DiPilot 100) driver assistance system, supporting functions such as highway navigation assistance (HNOA) and full-scenario intelligent parking.

Interior: Subtle Changes, Major Smart Upgrade
Inside, the cabin layout remains familiar, with a clean wraparound design and piano-black trim running across the dashboard. The interior continues to feature an embedded digital instrument cluster and a floating central touchscreen.
The most significant upgrade is the introduction of the latest DiLink 6.0 infotainment system, featuring a new card-style UI for improved usability and responsiveness.
Expected interior features include:
-
Four-spoke multifunction steering wheel with electronic column shifter
-
Hollowed center console with physical control buttons
-
Front seats with electric adjustment, ventilation, and heating
-
Openable panoramic sunroof
-
Rear air vents and charging ports
-
Rear center armrest with integrated cup holders

Powertrain & Range: The Core Highlight
The biggest upgrade comes in the form of enhanced electric range. The 2026 Qin L DM-i Long-Range Version is equipped with a 25.287 kWh battery pack, delivering a pure electric range of up to 210 km, placing it among the leaders in its class.
The vehicle is expected to retain the 1.5L DM-i plug-in hybrid system, with reference specifications from the current model:
-
1.5L engine with a maximum output of 74 kW
-
Electric motor options rated at 120 kW or 160 kW
In addition, the model is likely to offer the YunNian-C intelligent damping body control system, further improving ride comfort and handling stability.
Expected Pricing and Market Positioning
According to preliminary dealer booking prices, the 2026 Qin L DM-i Long-Range Version may be offered in two trims:
-
210 km Beyond Edition: approx. RMB 120,000
-
210 km YunNian Edition: approx. RMB 130,000
Booking prices are typically higher than official launch prices, suggesting that the final MSRP may be even more competitive. With its extended electric range, advanced driver assistance, and upgraded infotainment, the Qin L DM-i Long-Range Version is well positioned to become another best-seller in the sub-RMB 150,000 plug-in hybrid sedan segment.
